Worst case, try this:.Always make sure that you are logged in with the correct account to the TomTom HOME application. Try to run the Clear Flash Tool 3 times: target='blank Further steps if no luck: Try to do a soft reset first. Either a pin hole on the bottom, or press and hold the on button, until you hear the drum roll (if your device has no pin hole). If the above worked, happy days, if not, try the one below: 1. Save everything from the device, using Explorer (or Finder on Mac), include all the files (hidden as well).
It is also known as a manual backup: target='blank 2. Then format the internal storage (or memory card, depending which one you use) of your device. Use the COMPLETE format, not the quick. Target='blank 3.
Go to TT HOME, Manage my 'DEVICE', delete everything from the hard drive and try the update again. At this point you might have to disconnect the device a few times and switch it ON/OFF to enable it to setup some important stuff. Copy your voices and post codes back to the device (also the maps if that didn't download either).
Other tips: - Try to disable your antivirus and firewall - Make sure you have the latest.NET cpmponents, Adobe Flash Player and Java installed. Make sure you have all the latest updates and hotfixes/patches to your OS. In case the device looks like hung during the update or the counter stopped, just leave it. It will be fine in a few minutes. Try to uninstall and re-install the TomTom HOME application - Try to use a USB port on the mainboard, rather than a USB hub (desktop PC) - Any further issue: Try it on another PC, try it with different USB lead.the shorter the better (below steps are Windows specific) - Remove the TomTom HOME application and run CCLEANER (will remove your history, cookies, etc by default). Could anyone please help me in the same problem.
Central Eastern Europe Time
I try to download new map (Central and Eastern Europe) for bulit in Carminat TOMTOM (Renault Scenic III - 2010) replacing existing Benelux map. When I click on Add button via TomTom Home 2 operation fails due to 'Invalid TOC file' message.
I use external SD card reader connected to PC (WIN7). Navigation software update and map update for existing map run well. Other stuffs like add new POI's are also run correctly. latest TOMTOM Home 2 installed (re-install done) - both PC and software restarted several times - CC CLEANER done - USB port connected to mainboard - SD card formated (COMPLETE, FAT) - SD card files (all incl. Hidden) copied to PC and back to SD card after format (Nothing is done with the unit in the car so far.
Only SD card has been updated to latest version yet.).

This page applies to navigation devices that are updated using MyDrive Connect. Why Map Zones? The size of our maps increases all the time as we add details, such as new roads. We add more details to make the maps more accurate and more useful. You may find that when you buy a new map or update an existing map, the map you have chosen does not fit on your navigation device. To solve this, MyDrive Connect can offer you smaller sections of some maps, called Map Zones. A Map Zone contains the same level of detail as a complete map.
When you buy or update a map, you may be able to choose a Map Zone using MyDrive Connect. This happens if you cannot fit a complete map on your navigation device. Which Map Zones are available?
